On 12 March 2024, gallerist Sarah Kronsbein and artist Hermann Nachbaur invited guests to the exhibition “Alice in Wonderland” at Maximilianstraße in Munich — HERMANN’s first solo exhibition and a new beginning for Kronsbein Galerie.
On display were colourful, oversized sculptures inspired by nature, among them “Feldhase”, “Concerto di Pomodoro”, and the centrepiece “Golden Kohlrabi” — an elaborately crafted, gilded sculpture. Prominent guests including Stephanie von Pfuel, Susanne Seehofer, Uschi Dämmrich von Luttitz, Marianne Wille, and Denise Schindler were visibly moved by the connection between nature, craft, and art.
A particular highlight was the Flying Menu created by Kevin Micheli, which interpreted the artworks through cuisine — featuring “Hermann Tomate” (Gazpacho), kohlrabi with yuzu and salmon trout, “Golden Egg” with truffle, and desserts such as “Kartoffelkiste” with chocolate soil and “Carrot Cake à la Hermann”.
