While the name Kevin Micheli may not yet be widely known across Vienna's dining scene, his appointment at the O11 Boutique Hotel is set to change that quickly. The former Gault & Millau Newcomer of the Year brings a distinguished track record from prestigious kitchens including Landhaus Bacher, Hangar-7, and the Einstein in St. Gallen.

Restaurant Hayakan sits at the heart of this elegant new address on the Opernring, promising guests a show kitchen and modern-urban design. The location itself is steeped in history — it once housed the very first Café Sacher, and now aims to attract gourmands from around the world.

Beyond the impressive open kitchen, a single table stands out: the Chef's Table, designed as an intimate fine dining universe within the restaurant. Under Micheli's direction, the menu spans international specialities from Paris to Tokyo, with dishes at the Chef's Table presented personally and with theatrical flair by the head chef.

A carefully curated wine list with rare vintages complements the culinary offering. The interior blends Viennese flair from the 1925 era with contemporary aesthetics — marble, fine wood, and premium textiles create an atmosphere that bridges the city's storied past with its present.

The hotel and restaurant opened on October 7, 2022, adding 49 rooms and suites to Vienna's boutique hotel landscape. Meanwhile, the basement level houses Heidi — a venue by the Horst-Group, which has become a major force in Vienna's nightlife with establishments like O — der Klub, Hannelore, and Inc.
